Rudolph W. Klopp's Obituary
Rudolph Willard Klopp, age 70, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 2, 1942, in Muskegon to Erwin W. and Dorothy Mae (Beaty) Klopp.
Rudy spent 20 years serving his country in the U.S. Army. He went on to work as a financial consultant for the U.S. Postal Service, and later as a Postal Carrier in Muskegon County for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, watching sunsets at the beach, and he especially enjoyed gardening and his flowers. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
Rudy married the former Leona McPherson on November 1, 1966, in Muskegon, and she survives him along with three daughters: Rachel (Dale) Davis of Ferrysburg, Melody (William) Verhoeks of Grand Haven, and Laura (Rick) Hilliard of Muskegon; several grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-mother, Luella Klopp; a sister, Dorothy Klopp; four brothers: Gerald (Marsha) Klopp, Marty Klopp, Floyd (Cristi) Klopp, and Robert Klopp; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anita; and a brother, Gordon Klopp.
