Rudolph "Rudy" Sabo's Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Sabo, age 83, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Sanctuary at the Shore. He was born June 9, 1934, in Grand Haven to Steve and Clara (Schmaltz) Sabo, and he married F. Arlene Berryman on May 14, 1960.
Rudy worked as a press operator for AP Parts, and had worked at Shape Corporation. He was a lifetime member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie #925. Rudy loved gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and boating.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Arlene Sabo of Grand Haven; daughter, Dian (Scott) Vande Weg of West Olive; son, Tim (Joy) Sabo of Grand Haven; two grandchildren, Michelle (Richard) Clark and Nicholas Vande Weg; great-granddaughter, Emmalyn Clark; two brothers, Jim (Raelene) Sabo of Cadillac and Tom (Hazel) Sabo of Grand Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Olechnowicz and Sally Ralya, and two brothers-in-law, Les Ralya and Richard Olechnowicz.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services – The VanZantwick Chapel with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland are appreciated.
