Rumalda Mata, age 82, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was born February 7, 1941, in El Oro, Durango, Mexico to Jose Isaac Gonzalez and Juana Mata. SURVIVORS include her children: Jose Rosario Mata, Guadalupe Contreras, Maria M. Contreras, Maria A. Contreras, Jose Salome Contreras, Martina Contreras, Juana Contreras, Delia Contreras, Joel Contreras, and Maria De Jesus Contreras. She was preceded in death by four children: Samuel Contreras, Clemente Contreras, Manuela Contreras, and Magdalena Contreras. SERVICES for Rumalda will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451 (231) 853-6511. VISITATION will be from 6-9:00 PM Monday, July 17, 2023, and one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Ravenna Twp. Cemetery.
