We are so sorry for your loss. I got to know Russ through my father-in-law Rod VanVelzen. We attended several NASCAR races together. Russ, Dennis, Dennis' sons, all had so much fun. Russ was a man of great character. He stood up for what he felt was right and helped others in times of need. He was a great friend to Rod. Melissa grew up around him. Russ and Rod worked together to build Tri-City Pattern Works.

Melissa and I were tending to the loss of my mother who died unexpectedly at 70 yrs old in Moline, IL. We were shocked to read that Russ had died. I wish we could have attended the service. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I pray for peace and grace for all of you.
