Russell "Russ" E. Kyser's Obituary
Russell “Russ” E. Kyser, age 91, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018. He was born on June 14, 1927 to Howard and Edna (Lown) Kyser in Niagara Falls, New York. Russ proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Russ worked as a supervisor for Shaw Walker for 42 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a gifted musician, he played saxophone and clarinet. Other than his family his passions in life were bowling and golfing. On August 5, 1948 he married the former Donna Emmons and they spent 70 happy years together. She survives him along with his son, David (Ashley) Kyser; daughters, Brenda (Curt) Davis, Gail (Bob) Rockey; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and brother, Howard (Shirley) Kyser. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother. VISITATION with Russ’ family will take place on Monday, September 10, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 from 6-8 PM. A FUNERAL SERVICE to celebrate Russ’ life will take place on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home, with visitation one-hour prior.
