Dear Alice, Bob, Sandy, Jeff, Paula, Larry, Kathy, Bruce, Denise, and Brian,

I wish I could be there with you. I was blessed to have some wonderful and very memorable visits with Uncle Russ this past week. He even whacked me in the butt with his cane on my way out! :) His love and sense of humor was with him until the end. Uncle Russ has always been very special to me. He loved you all, and was so proud of all of you boys.

To the whole Vollmer family ,I send my sincere condolences. Russ was a great man. We were neighbors during most of my childhood. He had a verykind soul and I have not and will never forget walking accross the street to just hang out on the front step and talk about life. I also remember i had eczema all over my forearms and after many specialist visit Russ gave me his rendered Bear fat to put on it and it cleared it right up. Loved that man dearly.
