Russell Murray Heer's Obituary
Mr. Russell M. Heer, age 81, peacefully passed away at home with his family at his side, Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 following a long illness. He was born to Charles and Rose Heer on June 3, 1926 in Hart, MI. Russell was raised in Hart and was a U.S Army veteran having served his country during WWII. He married the former Mozelle Lillian Hennings in Muskegon on March 12, 1948. Russ was employed at Brunswick Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1989 and was a member of First Congregational Church of Fruitport. He enjoyed many memorable years hunting, fishing and picking mushrooms with family and special friends and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. He is SURVIVED by: wife, Mozelle; son, Paul R. Heer of Muskegon; daughter Cyndi L. Stewart of Fruitport and fiancé, Doug VanDyken; three loving grandchildren, Randy and Kevin Stewart and Paige Heer; sister, Robin (Kim) Berger; brother, Richard Heer and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the First Congregational Church of Fruitport, 3812 Pontaluna Rd., 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 26, 2008, Rev. David J. Hulings officiating. VISITATION: Monday, 6-8 P.M. at the Lee Chapel. MEMORIAL: Michigan Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
