Mrs. Ruth E. Carlson's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth E. Carlson, 85, passed away Monday morning, March 12, 2018. She was born November 11, 1932 to Stanley and Alice (Gross) Burr in Akron, OH, and lived almost all of her life in the Muskegon area. After raising her family, Ruth worked at DeBoer Nursing Home and the Hermitage for 25 years, before retiring. On December 26, 1950 she married Richard E. Carlson. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Richard; 4 children: Richard (Joan) Carlson, Jr., Pamala (James) Vallee, Diane (Jessie) Shepherd, Mark (Linda) Carlson; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Richard and Donald Burr.
