Mrs. Ruth F. Graham's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth F. Graham, age 89, went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ early Saturday morning, January 4, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born March 9, 1924 to Mark and Edith ( Curtis ) Bailey in Grand Rapids, and lived most of her life there. She had been the housekeeping manager at the Heather Hills Nursing Home before retiring in 1993, was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, enjoyed gardening and cooking and spending time with her children & grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Wierda in 1952. She later married Russell DeVriendt who passed away in 1982. She was then preceded in death by her husband Vernon Graham in 1989. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Joan (James) Blesi of Shoreview, MN, Larry (Linda) Wierda of Lowell, MI, Timothy (Allison) DeVriendt of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Jacklyn, Jessica, Russell, Ashley, Alex, James, Christine, Lisa, and Tanya; 18 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Hillsamer; 2 brothers John Bailey & Floyd Bailey , Mi, and 2 sisters Irene Coones & Grace White . A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, at The Lee Chapel
