Ruth L. Graves' Obituary
Ruth L. Graves, age 95, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at home. She was born July 28, 1924 to Albert and Clara (Werner) Griesbach in Muskegon. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and graduated from Muskegon Senior High School in 1943. After high school Ruth worked for Kaydon Corporation for 10 years in accounts payable, then moved to Brunswick Corporation for 12 years and finally retired after working at Lakeshore Machinery in accounts payable. Ruth enjoyed bowling, roller-skating at Curve Crest and attending hockey games was always a favorite. On June 21, 1952 she married Ken Graves and they were together in marriage for 68 years. Ken survives Ruth along with 2 sons, Gordon Graves and Roger (Kelly) Graves; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Brown, Jacob (Ashley Schaner) Graves, Kristin (Matt) Hammontree and Dylan (Dani Weiss) Graves; 4 great-grandchildren, Aria Brown, Brynlee Graves, Emerald Hammontree and Savannah Hammontree and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Waldemar “Wally” A private family service will be held to honor Ruth and her long life. Donations can be directed to West Shore Lutheran School.
