Ruth Isabel Harmon, age 91, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Grand Pines Assisted Living Center. She was born August 10, 1923, in East Troy, WI to William and Alma (Fitzer) Madison, and she married Mike James Read Obituary
Miss Ruth, as I called her was such a loving gracious lady, she will be missed by many.

I have so many fond memories of Ruth - she taught me how long to beat an egg (30 sec) and how to sew an apron when I was in 7th grade. I watched her putting up asparagus, making strawberry jam and the smell of fresh baking from her oven. She had three amazing daughters. I remember smoking cigarettes while sitting at the kitchen table with her and Mike while the girls got ready for a night on the town. Especially Sally who was always late. I admired her. I will miss her.
