Ruth Ann Heaton's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Ann Heaton, age 79, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Ruth was born July 15, 1936 to Charles and Anna Malsberry in Indianapolis. On August 27, 1960 she married Jerry Heaton and he preceded her in death on November 8, 2009. Ruth loved her grandchildren and enjoyed working puzzles, knitting and watching NCIS marathons. She is SURVIVED by her daughters, Judith ‘Judy’ (Michael) Shafer and Barbara (Jeffrey) Kirschner, all of Muskegon; granddaughters, Michelle Shafer, Samantha Kirschner and Hanna Kirschner; and her sister, Sandra Lasser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her brothers, Donald and James Malsberry; and sister, Anita Ferguson. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Christian Care Nursing Center on Sheridan Drive and especially Christina Marrow. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 26, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231 726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Burial will take place in Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be 6–8:00PM Friday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
