Ruth Ann Kroeze's Obituary
Ruth Ann Kroeze, age 78, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Ruth was born October 6, 1939 to Albert and Minnie (Weesies) Zuidema in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. She had been a middle school teacher at the Fruitport Schools for 24 years before retiring in 1997, and prior to that she was a dental assistant to Dr. Scott T. Holmes, DDS, MS. She was a life member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church where she was involved with the Hearts to Hands Ministry and the Women’s Bible Study. She volunteered at Dibs on Resale and as a docent at the Hackley and Hume Homes, ushered at the Frauenthal Theatre, and lead history tours at the Muskegon Heritage Park.On October 3, 1958 Ruth married Jack R. Kroeze, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2012. Survivors include her daughter: Laurie (Dale) Lubbers; 2 grandchildren: Adam (Elizabeth) Lubbers, Jacob Lubbers; 1 great-granddaughter: Emma Louise; 1 sister: Jean (Doug) Vanderlaan; special sisters in law: Virginia (Marvin) Zuidema, Barbara (Robert) Reed; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter: Julie; and her brother: Dr. Marvin Zuidema. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, at 11:00 AM at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 695 Allen Ave. Visitation at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
