Ruth Ann Musk-Cashbaugh's Obituary
Ruth Ann Musk-Cashbaugh, age 79, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Muskegon, MI. She was born on July 6, 1943, in Muskegon, MI, to Sopheus and Celia (Voss) Ouwerkerk. She graduated from Muskegon High School, and then went to Peggy White’s Beauty School. She worked for many years as a beautician until she retired in 2001. In her younger years she enjoyed going dancing at the Holiday Inn in Spring Lake as well as at Aaron’s Nightclub, but more recently she enjoyed going antique shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and making quilts. She loved going to her yearly dinners with her brothers. She was an adventurous person, she loved riding her Gold Wing motorcycle. Ruth was an easy-going person who was always able to go with the flow. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Cindi (Patrick) Magna, Randy Musk, Scott (Angela) Musk, and Larry (Trisha) Musk; seven grandchildren: Steven Sprague, Stacy Sprague Butch, Marissa Musk, Jillian Musk, Alexa Musk, Isabelle Musk, and Judson Musk; and two brothers: Larry Ouwerkerk and Steve (Karri) Ouwerkerk. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister in-law, Sharon Ouwerkerk; and husband, David “Bud” Cashbaugh. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be taking place from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be happening after the visitation from 5:00-8:00 PM at Mullally Park, 1700 Horton Road, Muskegon, MI, 49445.
