Ruth Ann Olman's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Ann Olman, age 82, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at her home in Laketon Township, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on May 26, 1943 to Ernest and Ellenor (Pearson) Johnson and she graduated from Muskegon High School. Ruth was retired from GTE Phone company and had previously been a school bus driver for Orchard View Public Schools. On November 19, 1960, Ruth married Gerald L. Olman in Muskegon. Together they enjoyed visiting car shows with their Ford Model A and Ford Thunderbird, Sunday afternoon drives, traveling, antique shopping, and spontaneous adventures. Family was most important to Ruth, and she cherished family dinners and fishing with her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry; three children, Lori (Bill) Neumann, Kristi (Gary) Pothoff, and Jerry (Merri Jo) Olman II; three grandchildren, Zach (Joslin) Neumann, Derek (Lauren) Pothoff, and Matt (Renee Gelderloos) Cuti; four great-grandsons, Elijah, Dean, Finn, and Noah; brother, James (Janet) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Maki and Wanda Bond; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Billy Neumann; and brothers, William Johnson and David Johnson. SERVICES for Ruth will be PRIVATE.
