Ruth M. Pinkafska's Obituary
Ruth M. Pinkafska, age 93, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She was born December 19, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Edward and Marie (Schneeberger) Henschel and Ruth moved to Grand Haven in 1958.
Ruth enjoyed life in many different ways, from tending to her flowers, playing with and watching animals and observing children, all these things made her happy. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, Gary Pinkafska of Grand Haven; grandson, Michael Pinkafska; step-granddaughter, Amy (Jim) Vantrepott, and their children: Ashley, Allison, and Jacob; nephew, Paul (JoAnn) Bowman; special neighborhood son, Robert Rathgeb. She was preceded in death by her former husband and friend, Rienhold Pinkafska.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave.) with Rev. Kurt Wenzelburger officiating. Visitation will take place 6-8 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
