Ruth Rupp Sebenick's Obituary
Ruth Rupp Sebenick, 96, daughter of Ralph and Myrtie (Burkholder) Rupp passed away April 23, 2018. A gifted musician, at age 13 Ruth was the organist at St Johns Christian Church; at 16 and 17 Ruth won the prestigious Mu Phi Epsilon Scholarship to study at the Toledo Conservatory of Music; she graduated Valedictorian of her high school class. Ruth received her Bachelors from Ohio State University, Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa Society membership. She earned her Masters degree from Wayne State University and worked as social worker, instructor and therapist while continuing her love of music through teaching and playing regularly. Survived by her daughters, Kristina (Brian) Ellis, Spring Lake, MI, Melinda Gilmore, Albany, NY and Francesca Sebenick, Allentown, NJ; and grandchildren: Cassandra Sebenick, Joseph Gilmore and Zachary Gilmore.
