Ruth Isabel Storey's Obituary
Ruth Isabel Storey, age 104, passed away on January 4, 2016. Ruth was born on July 15, 1911 to David and Cora Kimball. In 1931 she married Rev. James Storey and together they were blessed with 4 children and 57 years of marriage until his passing in 1988. Ruth was dedicated to her family and God. She helped her husband in the Lord’s service during his entire ministry in the Free Methodist Church and other Holiness churches. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and a good game of “Sorry” with her grandchildren. She was a generous, honest, sweet woman of God. She will be deeply, deeply missed. Ruth is survived by her children, Dorene (Rev. Wayne) Cash of Cedar Springs, Vincent (Kathy) Storey of Hudson, Ontario, Mark (Sue) Storey of Muskegon, and Dorothy Storey, her daughter-in-law; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, W. J. Storey; grandson, Matthew Williams; brothers, Andrew, Hubert, Clifford and Everett Kimball; and sisters, Fannie Racine and Iva Ruthruff. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 11 A.M. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The Rock Lake Camp in Ruth’s name.
