Ruth TenBrink's Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family at her home in Ludington, MI, Ruth TenBrink, age 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Ruth was married to Larry TenBrink, who preceded her in death in 1992. Ruth was a long-time resident of Grand Haven and a member of Second Reformed Church for more than 55 years.
Ruth is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Lee (Milly) TenBrink, Ken (Pat) DeKok, Norman (Carol) TenBrink; and one daughter, Jan Fisher. She was blessed to have had 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a volunteer for many years at Grand Haven Memorial Hospital. Her passion was music. She played both the organ and piano for 90 years. This talent was shared with others, as, at times, organ, but predominately pianist for the church she and Larry helped create at their winter home at Palm View Gardens in Zephyrhills, FL, where she also served as a choir director.
Due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak and social distancing requirements, private family services were held for Ruth. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s name may be made to Covenant Christian School, 2980 W. US 10, Ludington, MI 49431. Share memories with the family at their online guest book at www.sytsemafh.com.
