Ruth "Marilyn" Wagenmaker's Obituary
Ruth “Marilyn” Wagenmaker, age 94, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born February 17, 1930 in Muskegon to Raymond and Beatrice (Dood) Campbell. On June 22, 1981, she married William “Bill” Wagenmaker and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2016. Marilyn worked as a child support officer for the Department of Social Services and retired in 1990 after 15 years. She was an avid reader and loved to bake and cook – especially anything chocolate. She was active with the American Legion Post 28 in Grand Haven, VFW Council #3195 in Norton Shores and the Fruitport Eagles. Marilyn is survived by her step-children, Barbara Ann (Peter) Wessel, Ardelle Sue Bush, Pamela Jo (Randy) Nickels, Bille Jane VanOveren; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wagenmaker; her son, Dan Hoffman; one grandson; her parents, Ray and Bea Campbell; 1 brother, Gene Campbell; and 1 sister, Delores Lulofs.
