Oh my where do I begin, My family grew close to Ruth and Karen when they lived in Albuquerque, NM. We spent a lot of summers together. There were many get togethers that they were present at. I was very young at the time and remember them really well. I moved to Arizona in 2003 and found out that they settled down in Sun City. I have always thought of them but was not able to contact them due to things happening in my life. I will miss Ruth, she was so caring. My condolences to her family.

Ruth and I have known each other here in Sun City, Arizona for about 5-6 years. This past year she has been assisting me in the library of First Presbyterian Church of Sun City. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats together and shared many a laugh. Although I am much older than Ruth, we found we had a few things in common. We were both born on the 24th of May. She has lived in Clear Lake, Iowa where I spent 2 summers in Girl Scout Camp back in the 1940's. She has spent time in Mason City, Iowa where my older brother lived. She has lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I lived and worked for 15 years. Her companion, Karen and I grew quite close while playing in the bell choir at our church. Ruth was such a gentle, kind spirit with the heart of a lioness. She had 'true grit'. I will miss her tremendously but am so grateful for the time I did have with her. My sincere condolences to all of her family and loved ones.

There are so many positive words to describe Ruth. Strong, gentle, courageous, smart, dedicated, to name a few. Her contribution of time and talent to the Sun City Visitors Center will always be remembered and appreciated. She was such a pleasure to see every Monday morning. Mondays will always remind us of Ruth. Thoughts and prayers to Karen and the family. May Ruth's sweet soul rest in peace.

I met Ruth at the Camera Guild in Sun City, probably dozen or more years ago. I don't think I've met a stronger, more giving, and understanding person than her. She told me stories of her younger years and the challenges put in front of her and how she perservered despite them. We talked about her loved family My sincere condolences to Karen and the extended family. So many of us are sad that Ruth had to leave us so soon.

We were sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. We had trained with Ruth at the Posse and we
are happy to have met her. We were full-time RV'ers, and we spent time talking with Ruth about her travels and ours. We were so glad that she had the opportunity to travel. She was a wonderful lady, who is going to be missed.

Ruth Ann Welscott will be missed at the Sun City Posse. I worked with Ruth as she trained to be a Dispatcher. As a former educator, Ruth not only picked up the job quickly, but was a colleague we all enjoyed working with.

My wife Rose and I have been friends with Ruth for many years at the Camera Guild of Sun City. Ruth was one of the brightest, most enthusiastic, helpful and friendly member and photographer we were fortunate to share our passion with. We will miss her smile and compassion. Our best to her family.
