Ruth Ann Wiegand's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Ann Wiegand, age 91, died Monday morning, February 10, 2020, at her home. She was born in Bluffton, Indiana March 6, 1928 to Samuel and Ruby Ratcliff. Graduated from Central High School, Fort Wayne Indiana. Married Milton Wiegand January 10, 1947 (deceased since 1984) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Was employed in office at J.C. Penney for 26 years, retiring in 1990. To enjoy her later years, traveled U.S., Europe, British Isles and Hawaii. She spent winters in The Villages, FL, with her dearest friend, Dorothy Doza, who was the sister she never had. Survivors include 3 children, Marsha (David) Carr of Spring Lake, Susan (Dennis) Boyd of North Muskegon and Michael (Debra) Wiegand of Grand Rapids; 7 grandchildren, William J. King, Jr., Traci (Kurt) Trierweiler, Dennis Boyd, Jr., Scott Boyd, Colleen (Steve) Brown, Beau Boyd and Jason (Kaitlin) Wiegand; 5 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Mines, Derek Mines, Dylan Boyd, Maxton Brown, Graylee Brown; and by her great-great-granddaughter, Azalea Mines; step-grandchildren, Danielle (Scott) Merrill, Susan (Francis) Attig and Julie (Scott) Knowlton; step-great-grandchildren, Jack, Teddy and Katie Merrill, Hannah Attig, Chole, Chase and Lily Knowlton. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION with Ruth’s family one-hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
