Mrs. Ruth Williams' Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Williams, age 79, passed away Tuesday evening, December 10, 2013, at a local nursing home, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born March 12, 1934 in Muskegon to Edward and Ruth Ann (Goodman) Shepard. On August 15, 1952, she married Robert Truman Williams and he survives her. Ruth was a wonderful mother and homemaker and a fun loving grandma to her grandchildren. She loved dancing and singing. Ruth and Bob enjoyed the 14 winters spent in Texas in their retirement years. In addition to Bob, her husband of 61 years, Ruth is survived by her 5 children, Robert T. (Sandra) Williams, Jr. of Whitehall, Patricia (Robert) McNeal of Hesperia, Linda (Jack) Workman of Muskegon, Sharon (Paul) Northrup of Twin Lake, and James (Lori) Williams of Grand Haven; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held Saturday afternoon, December 14, 2013 from 1-3 PM at The Sytsema Chapel at 737 Apple Ave. Muskegon, MI 231-726-5210
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
