Ruth C Wilson's Obituary
Ruth (Coston) Wilson, age 92, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on August 23, 2016 at home with her family. She was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. Ruth was an incredibly wonderful and strong woman who lived a full and rewarding life, raised 5 children, and worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Wesley School. With a spirit of adventure, Don and Ruth traveled extensively in the United States and abroad, spending 20 wonderful winters in Florida. She loved spending time with her family more than anything else. She was the very best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and leaves a lasting legacy of love. She was the eternal optimist, always positive, fun loving and caring with everyone. She lived her last 4 ½ years at Sanctuary at the Oaks where she made many friends. She loved living at “The Oaks”. She highly valued her independence and was able to do everything she loved right up to the finish line. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children, Linda (Frank) Tally, David (Melanie) Wilson, Greg (Kim) Wilson, Janet (Michael) Wilson-Theobald; grandchildren, Jason, Steven, Angela, Rachel and Candace; great-grandchildren, Crew, Vera and Isabella. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Donald J. Wilson in 2011; her son James D. Wilson; her parents, Arthur and India Hazel (Bissinger) Coston; her sister, Lorraine Wood; and brother Larry Coston. Per her wishes she has been cremated and she is reunited with her soul mate Don. The family will be gathering for a private memorial service. The family wishes to thank the Sanctuary at the Oaks and Spectrum Health Hospice for their Compassionate Support.
