Ruth L. Wohlfard's Obituary
Ruth Lorraine Wohlfard, age 95, passed away in Norton Shores, MI, on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She left her earthly body to reunite with her husband and other family and friends in heaven. Ruth was born on February 27, 1928 to Archie and Esther (Nelsen) Morton in Norton Shores and later graduated from Muskegon Heights High School. On May 17, 1947, she married Max Wohlfard, and they spent 75 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2023. Ruth loved taking care of people, working for many years as a home healthcare provider. She was a wonderful hostess and always made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. She was a lifelong resident of Norton Shores and loved spending time at Lake Michigan. Her family meant everything to her, and it showed in the love she showered on her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She touched the lives of countless people with her love and kindness over the years. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Sherri Schroer and Lori Wall; four grandchildren: Kari (Corey) Judson, Jared Healey, Emily (Phil) Watson, and Michelle (Shawn) Bowman; and seven great-grandchildren: Caleb, Addison, Nolan, James, Juliet, John, and Jennivieve. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Esther Morton; husband, Max Wohlfard; and all of her siblings. Per Ruth’s wishes, no services are being held at this time.
