Ruthann Schoonfield's Obituary
Ruthann Schoonfield, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born March 25, 1942 in Muskegon to Vern and Helen (Cutter) Billington. Ruthann was baptized and had attended First Baptist Church and loved a good word search puzzle. She will be missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS include two daughters: Vicki (Ken) Armstrong and Veronica (Kevin) Bouwkamp; two step-children: April and Rick; six grandchildren: Dennis (Kayliegh), Becky (Joe), Crystyl, David (Ashley), Joshua (Caroline), and Chelsea (John); three step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Burrows; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leo Billington; four sisters: Velma Lowden, Melba Tanner, Janice Lowden, and Joanna Billington. The family would like to take a moment to give their sincere thanks to the staff at Lakewoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the staff from Harbor Hospice for all of the special care given to Ruthann and her family over the past year and in the most recent weeks prior to her passing. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 PM – 1:00 PM Thursday at Transformation Life Church (2620 McLaughlin Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery.
