Ruth E. Wescott's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth E. Wescott, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at her home. She was born August 8, 1927 in Champaign, IL to Clark E. and Florence (Sperling) Wise, and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1960. She was a life member of Genesis Chapter 88 OES, Deir-El Bahrie Daughters of the Nile, Elks Lodge in Grand Haven and Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wescott also volunteered for the Mercy Hospital Guild. She and her husband George, were the former owners Baker Auto Glass before selling the 1990’s. On July 17, 1948 she married George Wescott in Champaign, IL, and he preceded her in death in 1989. SURVIVORS include 4 children, John (Rhonda) Wescott of Norton Shores, Sheryl Wescott of Grand Haven, Sue (Ronald) Peters of Moraga, CA, Elizabeth Heliste of Republic, MI; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Monday at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Morrison officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday also at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 7PM. Memorial Contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Hackley VNS Hospice Services would be appreciated.
