Ruth L. Hage's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Lois Hage, age 84, went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon, December 8, 2003, at her home. She was born August 24, 1919 in Holland, MI to The Rev. Dr. Clarence P. & Anna (DeHerder) Dame and moved to the Muskegon area in 1930, where she has since resided. Ruth was co-owner of Hage’s Christian Supplies for the past 45 years. She was a charter member of Pine Grove Reformed Church and a dedicated member of Unity Reformed Church for the past 11 years. Ruth had been involved in women’s ministries, the church library and served as a Sunday school teacher. She was the loving helpmate of her husband, Russell, for 62 years; with whom she had gone through grade school, high school and even followed him in his military career following their marriage on August 29, 1941. SURVIVORS include her husband, Russell, 2 daughters, Judith (George) Fusko of Decatur, MI and Maryl (David) Ritsema of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Fusko, Elizabeth (Tom) Triesenberg, Lianna Fusko, Patrick (Jacklyn) Ritsema, Benjamin (Sarah) Ritsema and Loralee (Keith) Oppenhuizen; 6 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; 2 sisters and 1 brother, Trudy Schrier of Montgomery, AL, Paul (Marie) Dame of Largo, FL , Marian (Jack) Hoekstra of Kalamazoo, MI; and by a host of other relatives and friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with the Revs. Kyle DeYoung and James Bos officiating. Burial will be in Lakeshore Cemetery, Grand Haven Township, MI. VISITATION with Ruth’s family will be 2-4 & 7-9PM Wednesday at
