Ruth L. Morse's Obituary
Ruth L. Morse, age 80, passed away Thursday afternoon June 2, 2011. She was born January 8, 1931 in Muskegon to Antone and Lena (Wolfe) Johnson. Ruth worked for many years as a self-employed beautician, then secretary at Naph-Sol Zephyr and DL Morse and Associates. Ruth was a member of Dalton Baptist Church, where she was active as Deaconess, as a Sunday School teacher, and in Awana Ministries. She also participated in Child Evangelism Fellowship. On June 5, 1948 she married Lawrence R. Morse in Muskegon who preceded her in death on February 16, 2007. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Raymond L. (Denise) Morse, Daniel L. (Lisa) Morse, Randall A. (Sue) Morse, Janet A. (Shane) VandeVrede; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Arthur (Betty) Johnson, Paul (Rosemary) Johnson, Laurence (Karen) Johnson, Vern (Judy) Johnson; 3 sisters, Elaine (Harold) Haase, Darlene (Lloyd) Sarasin, and Norma (Joe) Scott; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl Johnson. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Dalton Baptist Church with her son-in-law, Pastor Shane VandeVrede officiating. Burial will take place in East Dalton-Oakhill Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at
