Ryan F. Minnaar's Obituary
Mr. Ryan F. Minnaar, age 32, passed away with his family at his side Monday afternoon, January 10, 2011. Ryan was born September 14, 1978 in Grand Haven, and was a life resident of Spring Lake. He worked for several years in retail management and human resources, most recently at Banana Republic, enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and was a huge fan of Detroit sports teams. On February 23, 2002 Ryan married Trisha McLean. SURVIVORS include his wife Trisha; 2 children, Makayla and Michael; his father, Fred (Carol) Minnaar of Norton Shores; his mother, Kathleen Alles of Grand Haven; in-laws, Michael A. McLean, Maria (Eduardo) Sanchez, all of Spring Lake; brothers and sisters, Nathan (Jane) Minnaar of Boyne City, Rachel Minnaar of Chicago, Michael W. McLean of New York, Samantha McLean of Spring Lake, Heather (Steve) Smithson of Virginia, Trevor Bethke of Spring Lake, Sean Jacobs of Marquette, Ryan Bethke of Grand Haven; grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. A Celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Richard A. Rhem officiating. A private family burial will take place at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION at the funeral home will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening.
