Sadie Ann Champagne's Obituary
Sadie Ann Champagne, age 35, of Fruitport passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007, at her home after losing a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 12, 1972, to Donald and Gladys (Tompkins) Champagne in Muskegon.
Sadie spent many years lovingly caring for others providing private duty in-home health care. Her life touched the hearts of many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She leaves behind a son, Andrew J. Champagne; life partner, Emory Hyder; a sister, Mary Theodore of Fruitport; and a brother, Foster Champagne of Grand Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Wentzloff; and her step-father, Ernie Wentzloff.
The service to honor and celebrate Sadie’s life will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Gerald Poehl officiating. Friends may meet the family 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Sadie’s honor may be made to the Andrew J. Champagne Education Fund at Grand Haven Bank.
