Sadie J. Buter's Obituary
Mrs. Sadie J. Buter, age 93, died Saturday morning, June 14, 2008, in Muskegon. She was a life resident of Muskegon, born July 29, 1914 to Fredrick C. & Susie Peterman. Sadie was a member of Hope Reformed Church. She had been employed by Orchard View Schools’ Food Service Department prior to her retirement; and was also the RIF (Reading is Fundamental) Clown for Orchard View Schools for over 15 years during which time she distributed over 45,000 books to the children. Sadie’s husband was Bernard J. Buter and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Willard Lake, on March 1, 2006. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Cheryl Lake of Muskegon and Larry (Nancy) Buter of Highland Ranch, CO. SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday at Hope Reformed Church with the Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Sadie’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI (231-726-5210). MEMORIAL GIFTS to Hope Reformed Church or the Muskegon County Museum will be appreciated.
