Mrs. Sally Ann Aney's Obituary
Mrs. Sally Ann Aney, age 80, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 13, 1936 to Walter and Esther (Olson) Leaf. Sally was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her number one priority was loving her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and spending time at the family cottage on Silver Lake. After raising her children, Sally had worked in the fine jewelry department at JC Penny’s for 10 years. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, the Muskegon Vikings, Lakeside Eagles and Lakeside Vets Club. On September 9, 1953, Sally married Lloyd P. Aney in Muskegon and he survives her along with two children, Debra Bolema and Kevin (Kerri) Aney; seven grandchildren, Keith (Heather) Bolema, Andrea Sullivan, Jason (Jennifer) Aney, Eric (Kelly) Aney, Marissa Aney, Mikayla Aney, and Kelsie Aney; seven great-grandchildren, Paige, Cade, Zander, Parker, Makenzie, Josey and Jayde; and her children at heart, Kim (Bill) Lee and Lynne Harp. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Aney; one son, Kirk Aney; her parents and two sisters, Mary Lipps and Jackie Strawn. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Dr. Zawdie K. Abiade officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service.
