Sally A. Cooke's Obituary
Sally A. Torrey Cooke, 76, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her home. Born August 3, 1938 to Arthur and Rose (Zechlinski) Torrey, she was a life resident of Muskegon. Sally retired from Cee-Jay Wholesale, and had been active in Boy and Girl Scout programs for many years. Her SURVIVORS include her children: Jeffrey (Christine) Cooke, Kerry (Timothy) Ludlow, and Scott Cooke; grandchildren: Melissa and Nate Long, Heather Cooke, Andy Cooke, Holly and Nate Mosley, Larry, Beth, and Matt Cooke; great-granddaughters Kyah Russell and Joslyn Mosley; her brothers: Tom (Lois) Torrey, Max (Karen) Torrey, and Bruce (Mary) Torrey; sister, Karen (Bob) Pletcher; daughter-in-law Melinda Braddock; and sister-in-law Linda (Pat) Vargo. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law Lori; granddaughter Jessica; great-grandchild Baby Long; and her former husband Arthur J. Cooke. Sally liked watching sports and traveling, especially to Mackinaw City. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, March 4th at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, 231-725-5210, where a FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015. VNS Chaplain Pastor Curtis Freed will officiate, and burial will be in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
