Sally Marie Cox's Obituary
Sally Marie Cox, age 85, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Muskegon. She was born in Stambaugh, Michigan on June 19, 1937 to Conrad and Josephine (Oru) Cox. Sally graduated from Muskegon High School and Western Michigan University. She taught Fifth Grade and was employed in Wisconsin by West Allis – West Milwaukee Public Schools for 31 years prior to her retirement in 1992. Sally loved the outdoors and enjoyed daily walks. She also enjoyed hiking, camping, and picnics. She loved her family deeply and was a devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her dear life-long friend, Alice Tasker; two brothers, Frank (Pam) Cox and Thomas Montambo; two sisters-in-law, Ila Cox and Sally A. Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Cox and Pete Cox; sister, Corrine Baker and brother-in-law, Edward Baker. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
