Sally Jean Tardani's Obituary
Mrs. Sally Jean Tardani, 84, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born February 23, 1939, in Ludington, MI to Garman and Lenore (Dahringer) Winey, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Sally worked as a Registered Nurse for different health organizations, retiring from Muskegon Surgical Associates after 26 years. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Sally volunteered at Sacred Suds for many years and enjoyed reading and discussing spiritual books and learning about new things. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing games, especially cribbage. On November 5, 1960, she married Leonard F. Tardani at St. Jean’s Catholic Church in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2014. Survivors include two sons, Vincent (Cristi) Tardani, Andy (Zoey) Tardani; daughter-in-law, Sandra Tardani; grandchildren: Travis Tardani, Sara Zimmer, Matthew Adams, Isabella Tardani; great-grandchildren: Madalynn, Nicolai and Graham; two sisters: Margaret (Fred) Cooper, Sandra (Dan) Cleveland; many nieces and nephews and their families. Sally was also preceded in death by her parents, son Philip Tardani, brother Dennis Winey, and sister Suzanne Drost. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 13, at 2:00 PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Tardani may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Service, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
