Samantha L. Dunning's Obituary
Samantha L. Dunning, age 55, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 following a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on April 25, 1967 in Muskegon to Dennis and Zelda (Holman) Mangione. A lifelong resident of the area, Sam graduated from Fruitport High School in 1986. Sam loved crafting and knitting, and made many creative art projects for family and friends. She also enjoyed spending her time tending to her outdoor flower garden, weekend trips to the casinos, traveling up north and to the UP, and sitting around a campfire with her many friends and family. Sam will be deeply missed by her husband of 23 years, Dan Dunning; daughter, Brittany Stack; son, Travis (Lizzie) Stack; sister, Dawn (John) Gallegos; parents, Dennis and Zelda Mangione; in-laws, Dan and Sandy Dunning; nephews, John Jr and Jordan (Des Marie) Thomas; niece, Teresa Thomas; special niece, Lennon Rees; special kids, Melissa Anne, Jordan, and Dan (Caitlin) Wagner; special mom, Marilyn Stack; special friends, Trisha, Tara, Collet, Lisa, Bev, and Shelia; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Betty Mangione. VISITATION will be held Wednesday, March 1 from 4:00 – 7:00PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
