Samuel "Stub" Lee Berghuis' Obituary
Samuel “Stub” Lee Berghuis, age 77, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. He was born on November 14, 1943 to Laurin and Frances (Graham) Berghuis in Muskegon. On November 28, 1964 he married the former Mary Lou Weinrick, and together they spent 56 happy years together. Stub worked as a drywall installer until his retirement. He will be remembered by being a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He loved hunting, fishing, and travelling to every one of his grandchildren’s games he could.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Berghuis; children, Sammie Sue Langlois, Travis Lee (Kim) Berghuis; grandchildren, Clark Langlois, Hunter Langlois, Egypt Berghuis, Jacob Berghuis; sisters, Ruth Ann Warren, Lorraine (George) Haight; and sisters-in-law, Leona Berghuis and Lois Berghuis.
The family would like to thank the 6th floor nursing staff for the care they provided to Stub during his time in the hospital. Burial for Stub will take place in Egelston Township Cemetery on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
