Sandra Kay Andersen's Obituary
Sandra Kay Andersen, age 72, of Hudsonville passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence. She was born September 12, 1941 in Grand Haven to Ronald Emerson and Eleanor (Mc Manamey) Shields, and she married Raymond James Andersen on July 29, 1967 in St. Andrews Cathedral. Her husband Raymond preceded her in death on April 7, 2009.
Sandra worked as an accountant at Jenison Accounting. She loved “spoiling” her grandchildren, flower gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (Randy) Browne of Spring Lake; two grandchildren, Knoel and Kaden Browne; three sisters, Linda (Dave) Bulson of Nunica, Bonita Olechnowicz of Grand Haven, Jan Metler of Allegany, New York; two brothers, Roger (Donna) Shields of Grand Rapids and Rick (Tina) Shields of Grand Haven; and several nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by two nieces, Stefanie Bol and Karen Barnes.
The family will greet family and friends Monday, December 2, 20013 from 4-8 PM at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2013, with Rev. Fr. William Langlois presiding and visitation starting at 9:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 920 Fulton Street, Grand Haven. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
