Sandra Kay Clapper's Obituary
Mrs. Sandra Kay Clapper, age 80, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1941 and was raised in Muskegon by her parents, Donald and Evelyn Little. On April 30, 1960, Sandra married Robert E. Clapper and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1992. Sandra was a Pharmacy Tech and was employed by Meijer for several years prior to her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed having her family over every Sunday for a home cooked meal. Sandra also enjoyed reading and trips to the lake to watch the sunset. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her children, Paula (Jim) Cherney, Robert Clapper, Steven (Wendy) Clapper, and Deanne (John Morgan) VanAelst; eight grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Smith, Caitlin (Mike Piggott) Cherney, Andrea (Cory) Wheeler, Jacob (Kayla) Clapper, Chelsea (Jared) Dubay, Jaclyn (Matt Wiersema) Clapper, Andrew (Jordan) VanAelst, and Brianna (Eric) Wright; eight great-grandchildren, Collyns, Charlotte, Rylee, Parker, Harper Alice, Casyn, Sedona, and Harper Grae; brother, Donn (Wendy) Little; sister-in-law, Anita Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Robert, Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Everett and Phyllis Clapper; and three sisters, Ronda, Lori, and Sue. SERVICES for Sandra will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in memory of Sandra may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
