Sandra Kay David's Obituary
Sandra Kay David, age 78, passed away Monday evening, June 9, 2025. She was born March 1, 1947, in Muskegon to Robert and Irma (Pierce) Russell and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Sandra graduated from Muskegon High School in 1965. That same year, on July 3, she married Darrel Gean David in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2004. Sandra was an avid reader who cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS include two children: Debra (Craig) Bechtel and Darrel (Barbara) David; grandchildren: Zack (Heather) David, Sarah David, and Caitlin (Jesse) VanDellen; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara (Fred) Vaughn and Michelle (Steven) Hommes; brother, Wayne Russell; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Shawn Bechtel, and great-grandson, Deklan David. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100.
