Mrs. Sandra L. Mecher-Hornsby's Obituary
Mrs. Sandra L. Mecher-Hornsby, 51, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Ann Arbor, MI. Born August 9, 1962 in Muskegon to Ronald and Helen (Jones) Mecher, Sandy was married to Buck Hornsby. They lived in Rock, MI for over 20 years, and Sandy was an Xray Technician at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba before she retired early this year. Her SURVIVORS include Buck; her mother, Helen Mecher; brothers David (Brenda) Mecher and Brian Mecher; sisters Lori Parsons and Kristi (Cort) Parshall. Her father and a brother, Don, preceded her in death. Sandy was a long-time member of the Audubon Society, and loved feeding birds and watching the deer, bears and other wildlife that considered her home a sanctuary. VISITATION will be 10-11 A.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, followed by A CELEBRATION OF SANDY’S LIFE at 11:00 A.M. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444, phone 231-798-1100. A Memorial Service will also be held in Rock, MI at a later date. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Audubon Society would be appreciated.
