Sandra L. "Red" Meerman's Obituary
Sandra L. “Red” Meerman, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 11, 1945, to Wilbur and Mary (Ream) English in Muskegon, MI, she remained a lifelong resident of the area. A proud graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, Class of 1963, Red was a dedicated and familiar face at the Lithuanian Club, where she worked as a server and bartender for nearly 15 years. She was also a proud member of both the Lithuanian Club and Pulaski Lodge. Red found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing pool, camping, and working on puzzles. She had a passion for testing her luck at the casino, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family and her beloved pups. With a fiery spirit and an infectious laugh, she had a way of filling any room with warmth and joy. Sandy’s presence was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Brian Luci; four grandchildren, Alanis Luci, Brett Luci, Anna Chase and Zoe Semelbauer; great-granddaughter, Autumn Neading; brother, Mike (Reba) English; sister, Sue (Tim) Kmiecik; son-in-law, Brian Semelbauer; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Kimberly (Luci) Semelbauer. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
