Sandra Sue "Sandy" Parker's Obituary
Sandra Sue “Sandy” Parker, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born August 15, 1943, to Robert and Teressa (Hasper) Jolman in Muskegon, MI. She grew up in Grand Haven and graduated from Grand Haven High School and then attended Muskegon Business College. Sandy worked for many years in the healthcare industry.
Sandy had a caring and servant heart. She was an active member of Covenant Life Church up until her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. She loved volunteering at the hospital and was known for bringing her special coffee cake to those who needed a little pick me up. Sandy loved music and played the piano. Fond memories for her children and grandchildren were the unique experiences she would bring them to, whether an art gallery, a symphony concert or the theater. Sandy truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Sandy was also part of a special group of friends that got together for decades to play bridge. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Sandy is survived by her children, Jennifer (Todd) Sellon and Matt Parker; grandchildren, Alexa (Pete) Modert, Andrew (Sydney) Sellon, Alli Parker, Sophie Parker and Will Parker; great grandchild, Jackson Modert; and sister, Jeanine (Bill) Holman. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barb Wierenga; and the father of her children, Tom Parker.
