Sandra Louise Sander's Obituary
Sandra Louise (Graham) Sander, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. She was born and raised in Muskegon and was the oldest of four sisters whom she adored. In December of 1962 she married David Sander. They later made Roosevelt Park their home and devoted themselves to the community. She loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren, making their interests her own. Whether a dance recital, baseball game, softball tournament, swim meet, gymnastics competition, tennis match, orchestra performance, choir concert, play, musical, or lacrosse game; she was there to support. Sandra was a longtime member of Samuel Lutheran Church in downtown Muskegon. She enjoyed holidays with family, hosting pool parties, coffee with neighbors, time with friends, and taking care of her grandchildren. One of her greatest passions was little league baseball and she rarely missed a game of the annual Little League World Series. Sandra is survived by her three children David (Cathy) Sander, Kelli (Keith) Kuipers, and Erin (Chris) Kuhn; ten grandchildren Kimberli (Tomas) Hernandez, Kirsten Sander, Derek (Amber) Kuipers, Samantha (Devin) Gilbertson, Hannah Kuipers, Makenna Kuhn, Lauren Sander, Michaela Sander, Gavin Kuhn, and Ryan Kuhn; seven great-grandchildren, sister Nancy Flermoen and, brothers-in-law Mark Sander, Pete Sander, and Jerry Swartz. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave, and sisters Lynda Swartz, and Mary Smith. Sandra’s family is grateful to the staff of Lakeshore Assisted Living and Optimal Home Care & Hospice for taking such wonderful care of her over the past two years. VISITATION will be Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at The Lee Chapel 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Lakeshore Assisted Living (Baruch Senior Ministries).
