Sandra Lee Snider's Obituary
Sandra Lee Snider, age 60, of Fruitport passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born August 1, 1946, in Grand Rapids to Eduart and Barbara (Hawman) Weckwert, and she married Dennis Lee Snider on February 22, 1964, in Grand Rapids.
Sandra graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids and moved to the Fruitport area in 1964. She and her husband opened Fruitport Golf Course in 1970, which they owned and operated with her brother- and sister-in-law, Dave and Robbie Snider. Sandra attended Christ Community Church in Spring Lake, enjoyed cooking, being a loving and caring mother and grandmother, as well as a loving and supportive friend.
Survivors include her loving husband, Dennis; a daughter, Heather (Justin Arnold) Snider of Orange County, CA; a son, Edward (Carin) Snider of Grand Haven; 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Logan; and her mother, Barbara Weckwert of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her father.
The service for Sandra will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church with Pastor Dan Ward officiating. Friends may meet the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake.
