Sarah E. Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Sarah E. Anderson, age 96, died Tuesday morning, October 21, 2003, in Muskegon. She was born March 15, 1907 in Muskegon to Carl & Victoria (Hardy) Doctor and had been a life resident of the area. Sarah was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and had formerly been active with its Altar Guild, Womens League and Choir. She was also a Life Member of the D.A.V. and had previously served as the State (Michigan) Commander of the D.A.V. Auxiliary. On December 29, 1923 she married Earl Chester Anderson and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1967. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Earl C. "Andy" (Alice) Anderson and Charles L. (Camille) Anderson of Muskegon; 1 daughter-in-law, Estella Anderson of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, infant Jackie Anderson & Cullen A. Anderson; her brother, Herman Doctor, 2 sisters, Margaret Huizenga and Helen Gilmore. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Conradt officiating. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION with Sarahs family will be 6-8 PM Thursday at
