Scott L. Boertman, Jr.'s Obituary
Scott Leon Boertman, Jr., age 61, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was born December 18, 1955 in Ludington, MI to Scott and Barbara (Phillips) Boertman, Sr. Scott was a graduate of Reeths Puffer High School and for 12 years resided in St. Thomas, where he worked as a bartender. He had also worked as a mechanic for 7 years at Newkirk Electric before his health forced his retirement. Scott was an avid fisherman and enjoyed old cars. On June 15, 1996, he married Dana M. Sanheim in Manitoba, Canada and she survives him along with their son, Michael Richard Boertman; his mother, Barbara Lange of Ludington; 2 sisters: Tina Barrow of Henderson, North Carolina, Cindy (Bill) Hull of Jacksonville, North Carolina; multiple nieces and nephews; and his faithful special canine friend, Coco.
