Scott D. Ellis' Obituary
Scott David Ellis, son of Thomas Ellis (Cindy Ellis) and Susan Morton Smith (Jeff), age 45, passed away in his home on February 12, 2020. He was born on April 27, 1974 and has lived in Muskegon for all but a few years when he lived with good friends in Huntington Beach, CA. Scott worked for Five Star Realty and previously as a realtor with Coldwell Banker. He graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1993 and Western Michigan University 1998. Scott attended Forest Park Covenant Church and enjoyed their former ski club. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, attending concerts with friends, socializing, and his Bulldog, Roxie. His mission was to make sure everyone else was happy. Scott is survived by his daughter, Paige McKenna Ellis, his parents Thomas Ellis, and Susan Morton Smith (Jeff); siblings, Adam Smith (Regan) of Chandler, AZ., Cheryl Ellis Pierangeli (Tony) of Denver, CO., Ryan Ellis (Kerry) of Grand Rapids, MI, his nieces, Claire Smith and Gianna Pierangeli, and his nephews, Nico Pierangeli and Sam Smith. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his amazing group of close friends. Scott was preceded in death by his step-mother Cindy Ellis and his brother Stephen M. Smith. Because Scott would want a happy memorial, a celebration of his life will be held in July (date to be announced later). A memorial fund has been established through GoFundMe “Scott Ellis Memorial Fund” to assist his daughter with college funding. Arrangements by Sytsema Cremation Services, 773 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. You may sign Scott’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com
