Scott E. Freeman's Obituary
Mr. Scott Edward Freeman, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Muskegon on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was born in Muskegon on September 21, 1961 to Jack and Charlene (Taylor) Freeman. Scott was employed by GE Aviation prior to his retirement. He had previously been employed by Howmet Corporation as well as owning and operating his own business, Freeman Construction. Scott spent many years bowling in local leagues and national tournaments, as well as golfing in local leagues. He looked forward to and attended over 30 trips to the Indianapolis 500 where he enjoyed camping, attending the race, and the overall camaraderie of the event. Scott is survived by his significant other, Kim Freeman; children, Scott (Lynn) Freeman, Aaron (Heather) Freeman, Kirstin Freeman, Jamie Updyke, Eric Updyke, and Toree Freeman; 12 grandchildren, Kylin Freeman, Mason Dexter, Elsie Freeman, Harrison Freeman, Adalyn Olivas, Isabel Olivas, Malia Olivas, Alexis Olivas, Makayla Locke, Jaden Updyke, Ethan Updyke; and Kynlee Perkins; mother, Charlene Freeman; sisters, Theresa (John) Elhard and Crystal Fencil; sister-in-law, Rebecca Freeman; his beloved dogs, Dexter and Ryder; and his four grand-dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Freeman and his brother, Jack Freeman. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024 at Community of Christ Church (2671 Ducey Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with Elder Mary Larson officiating.
